The Institute was set up in September
2002, to meet the needs of the Catering
Industry in Rivers and Bayelsa States
in particular and Nigeria in general.
From offering Basic Cookery courses only,
the Institute now goes in for WAHEB, City
& Guilds (C&G), 7065, 7066 etc.
FULL
TIME COURSES
The aim of the courses is to provide
a sound basic training for young people
who desire to pursue a career in the
Hotel and Catering Industry. The courses
include:

service 6. Front Office 7. Hotel Management
8. Housekeeping 9. Interior Decoration
10. Law 11. Nutrition and Hygiene
RULES
AND REGULATIONS
It is a condition of admission that
students conform to all the Rules and
Regulations of the Institute, which
would be signed by prospective students
on admission. Any breach of the peace
or acts of indiscipline, vandalism or
insubordination would attract summary
dismissal.
ENTRY
REQUIREMENTS
Credit level passes in 4 subjects, including
English Language, in the SSCE or GCE
'O' Level or Teacher Grade II will normally
be required. However, because the course
is aimed essentially at acquistion of
skills, persons with lower qualifications
may be considered, at the descretion
of the Management of the Institute.
APPLICATION FORMS
Application forms are obtainable at the
Institute on payment of N1,500:00 (One
Thousand and Five Hundred Naira) only.
You can also apply using Online application
form for 2007 entry and made the payment
into our bank account stated on the form.
COURSE DURATION
One Week, 3 Months, One Year, Two Years
or longer depending on candidates' needs
and arrangements with the Management.
AWARD
Every student who successfully completes
the 2-year course will be awarded the
Institute's Testimonial and Diploma.
Students who register for the 2-year
Diploma programme are eligible to sit
for the appropriate examinations of
the City & Guilds International
of London COURSE
FEES
Fees are payable at the time of enrolment,
in a designated bank or by bank certified
cheques/drafts. The fees would be communicated
to successful applicants at the time of
the interview.
Fees paid are not normally refundable.
UNIFORMS,
BOOKS, EQUIPMENT
Course fees do not cover the cost of
uniforms, books or equipment. Lists
of recommended books as well as specifications
of equipment would be made available
to successful applicants, who would
procure their own items. However, for
ease of procurement, the making of uniforms
and purchasing of equipment, etc can
be arranged by the institute.
RETURN OF COMPLETED
FORMS
Completed forms must be returned to
the Institute Administator's office
with photo-copies of credentials and
receipts of application form or the
the bank deposit slip, two recent pasport
photographs duly signed at the back.
ADMISSION
INTERVIEWS
Interviews, which may include written
and oral assessment, would be conducted
on dates specified on our website or
the application forms. result would
be communicated to successful applicants
but prospective candidates are also
advises to keep checking our website
and the notice boards in the Institute.
PART TIME COURSES
The course would be practicals-oriented
and would go hand in hand with the theoretical
bases of each procedure. Subject areas
